What is Student of the Month?
Every month during the school year – September through May - The South Tipton County Chamber of Commerce recognizes the Student of the Month from Brighton High School, Munford High School and Tipton-Rosemark Academy. This student is selected by the administration at each school, following guidelines set up by the Chamber.
The Students of the Month and their parents are invited to a breakfast reception at the Chamber Office. Each student makes a short speech about his or her accomplishments, receives a certificate and a medal from Patriot Bank and is photographed for an article in The Leader.
At the end of the year, the Chamber hosts a breakfast sponsored by Patriot Bank to honor all of the Students of the Month and their parents. At that event, each school's selection of Student of the Year is announced. Each Student of the Year is presented a $500 scholarship from Patriot Bank.
Terry Colin is Education Coordinator for the Student of the Month Program.
Patriot Bank and Patriot Bank Mortgage are proud to sponsor the Student of the Month Program.
